The Northern Extreme Girls Prep team (www.naxhockey.com) hosted a Fundraiser for our foundation this past weekend (February 10 - 12) at River Cree during the Elite 15s Division Showcase. A huge thank you to the girls who helped us raise just over $2,000!
On January 19th Rocky was lucky enough to meet Joseph. Joseph has played in our tournament in the past and decided to donate money he received for his birthday to our foundation. Joseph donated $240 to our foundation (and brought me flowers)!!! Let me give you an idea as to how far this money can go to help Stollery families. Joseph donated enough money for: 20 overnight kits or 6 Maddens gift packages or 3 memorial necklaces or 2 catered lunches that feed on average 30 family members of ICU patients.
My boys. They help with everything from collecting items, to dropping off donations, to stuffing packages, to picking up garbage, to recruiting their friends, to spreading awareness and to keeping Madden's story going. We are so lucky to have them.
Over the weekend we received this very thoughtful donation. In lieu of treat bags a donation to our foundation. So amazing. What amazes me the most is that you pick us! We are so so grateful!
Happy birthday Ben!
A huge thank you to the Michael Pino Real Estate Group for hosting a Euro 2016 Soccer Pool & raising $1000 for our foundation! Helping us to fund life changing pediatric cardiac research & bring financial help & emotional comfort to families of critically ill children at the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
These two sweet boys (Madden's cousins) walked over with an envelope of money for us from a fundraiser they ran in Madden's name. This isn't the first time they have done something to raise money for our foundation, and each time it makes my heart happy.
We received this amazing handmade donation from a Stollery family earlier this week. Pop tabs for the RMHNA and bonding squares and headbands for our Stollery packages. An amazing donation!
This past November (2016) Amore Pasta opened for business. For the first 5 days they were open they gave out free pasta to every single person that came into the restaurant so long as they made a donation to our foundation. Over those 5 days we were able to raise just over $12,000! Which is more than amazing. All of this money will go towards funding pediatric cardiac research through a fellowship starting in January 2017 at the Stollery Children's Hospital.
This anonymous donation showed up on my front porch yesterday... it made my soul smile... I truly love people and am always blown away by their generosity and kindness.
Whoever you are... THANK YOU
One of Rykers favourite people at school happens to be a sweet little heart warrior. It was her birthday party over the weekend and this was set up on the table. My soul smiled. We are so thankful for every donation received and every effort to help us raise the money we have committed to funding pediatric cardiac research. Happy Birthday Kennedy!
